Requirements for Studying in British Columbia
There are a number of requirements that international students must meet before beginning their studies in BC's post-secondary institutions, such as:
- demonstrate minimum proficiency in English. ESL upgrading support is available at most institutions (see below for more information on ESL);
- meet application deadlines;
- enroll in the BC Medical Services Plan if a student is studying in BC for longer than three months. For more information, visit the BC Centre for International Education - Services for International Students page and then jump to 'Medical Coverage'
