Frequently Asked Questions
Question 1: What kind of education information can Education Planner give me?
Education Planner contains two types of information: information on programs offered at BC's post-secondary institutions, and general educational planning information.
In the main Program Search you can find information on program admission requirements, application deadlines, program lengths, textbook/tuition costs, co-op availability, and other information.
Information on student services such as student loans and scholarships, apprenticeship information, former student survey results, and international student information can be obtained from the home page.
Question 2: Can I apply to institutions in BC using Education Planner?
Students may use Education Planner's partner site, the Post-Secondary Application Service of BC (PASBC), to apply to many of BC's post-secondary institutions. Alternatively students can access the individual post-secondary institution's website from Education Planner's home page and use their on-line application services.
Question 3: Do I need to download any additional software or plug-ins to run Education Planner?
You will not need to download any additional software or plug-ins to run Education Planner. The program is designed to work easily and efficiently on almost any computer terminal, and does not require any additional downloads to operate.
Question 4: Is the information on the Education Planner site guaranteed to be accurate?
The British Columbia Council on Admissions and Transfer (BCCAT) has made every effort to ensure that the information included in Education Planner is accurate. We do so by working with the post-secondary institutions on a regular basis. Education Planner is a dynamic site that is continuously updated. Institutions make changes to application deadlines and program admission requirements on a regular basis and these may not always be reflected in Education Planner. We recommend students confirm their educational plans with the institution(s) they are planning to attend. BCCAT shall incur no liability for any errors or omissions in Education Planner's content.
